Santiago is the capital and biggest city of chile.    Santiago is a modern city located in a valley, thanks to its geographical situation, it has several beutifull landscapes which are specially amazing after a rainy day.
 
Santiago is situated just in the middle, between the mountains and the sea, actually the time you take to get to viña is the same you take to get to the mountains.   although the beautifull landscapes given by the mountains, Santiago is covered in winter, unfortunatelly, by smog.

Weather in Santiago is some dry during the year, there are neither extreme temperature or rains, in fact, in Santiago rains just in winter (Juny - July), summer is hot and the rest of the year is somewhat windy.
